Vintage Miniature Olive Pit sculpture Masterfully hand carved. Lots of detail on each of these 19 beads! Most of them carved with a Lohan (Arhat) head. Each one is different and some are smiling, some frowning, some have great whiskers and mustaches! They are carved from the pits of the Chinese black olive which has a lovely brown color and is strong. This unique set is decorated with antique finished sterling silver parts, enameled silver parts and stainless steel chain. Excellent sample of an ancient folk art , in a set ideal for display as part of a good private collection.
